Costume Hero

Bay to Breakers is an annual footrace event from the center of San Francisco (at the Bay), through the city, to the coast side of the Golden Gate Park (the Breakers). Aside from serious runners, the vast majority of participants walk the 7.5 mile course in costume (or no costume - liberal San Francisco style). Since I used to live close to the finish line of the course, I'd go out and photograph many of the participants. This is my favorite photo from the event.
