White-tail deer

Just like squirrels, deer are found most on the lower elevations of Mount Shasta. They are frequent visitors to people's backyards. (This photo was taken in my backyard, just outside my patio door.) Unless precautions are taken, they will happily devour edible plants and ornamental flowers.
